Ortho-Tri-Cyclen is a contraceptive. It is also used to regulate the menstrual cycle and to relieve adverse symptoms arising during the menopause. It may be used to treat such other conditions as your physician thinks appropriate. Continuing to smoke is dangerous to your health and you should quit. If you smoke and use Ortho-Tri-Cyclen, the risk of serious heart problems is increased. The risk is greatest if you are more than 35 years old and smoke more than 15 cigarettes in a day.
