Mobic is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used in the treatment of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and juvenile arthritis. It is not known exactly how it works, but it probably reduces the levels of chemicals in the body causing inflammation. NSAIDs reduce inflammation and pain, but do not affect the underlying disorder causing the symptoms. It may be used to treat such other conditions as your physician thinks appropriate. |
