Celebrex is prescribed to reduce the pain associated with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and menstrual pain. Physicians also use it in cases of familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP) to reduce the number of polyps growing in the rectum and for such other conditions as are appropriate.
