Alesse is a contraceptive that may also be prescribed by your physician for other appropriate purposes. Smoking cigarettes is always bad for you but, in conjunction with Alesse, increases the risk of cardiovascular problems. The degree of risk increases with age and the number of cigarettes smoked. Women who are 35 years or older and who smoke 15 or more cigarettes per day are at greatest risk. |
