Aldactone is used to reduce the fluid retention and swelling in patients who suffer congestive heart failure, kidney problems (nephrotic syndrome) or cirrhosis. It also relieves high blood pressure, and may be used both to prevent or treat low levels of potassium in the blood, and to treat conditions where the adrenal gland is overproducing the hormone aldosterone. |
